F.A.Q.

Q: Is the Plantation really haunted?
A: Yes.  The current owner has been at the property for over 30 years and has experienced NUMEROUS paranormal encounters.

Q: Will I get my money back if I get scared and don’t finish the haunt?
A: We are in the business of scaring people.  It’s why you came here and bought your ticket, so of course, there will be no refunds.

Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: Ticket booth opens at 7:00pm.  Tours start at 7:30pm until midnight.

Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Q: How long is the wait in line?
A: It depends, at the beginning of October, there is typically very little wait, maybe 20-30 minutes, at the end of the month near Halloween, it can be a very long wait with increased numbers of patrons.  The closer you come to opening time, the shorter the wait.

Q: Do you charge for parking?
A: No, parking is free.

Q: Is there an age limit or recommendation for the Nightmare Plantation?
A: NO, however due to the graphic nature it is not recommended for small children.  There will be young children who go through and have a great time and adults who go through and are in tears. You’re the parent, you be the judge.  A good rule of thumb is if you wouldn’t bring your child to a PG-13 rated movie, probably not a good idea to bring them to a haunted house.

Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Sorry, no pets are allowed on site.  It’s just too darn scary for our furry friends.

Q: Once we’ve paid for admission are we able to go through again?
A: NO, however, you can purchase another ticket if you would like to walk through again

Q: How long does it take to go through?
A: It’s really difficult to give an answer to this question, some groups run right through others take their time.

Q: Is it really scary?
A: YES, it is really scary!

Q: Is Nightmare Plantation handicap accessible?
A: We do our best to be handicap accessible and to accommodate all of our guests. Because most of the haunt is an outdoor walk through and not on a continuous hard surface, we don’t recommend the attraction for those who have difficulty moving around.  However, we will do our best to provide all guests with a haunting good time.

Q: Is there anything not appropriate to wear?
A:  A good portion of the haunt and all of the queue is outdoors, so dress accordingly.  We highly recommend that you wear close-toed shoes to protect your feet!

Q: Is there security?
A: Yes.  We do our best to have our staff watch out for you, and there are Sheriff’s deputies at the event.

Q: Can we be denied access to Nightmare Plantation?
A: YES, absolutely, we will not allow foul language, obscene behavior, weapons, alcohol, drugs, etc. etc. etc., come on now, use your head!

Q: Can we take photos inside your haunted house?
A: NO, photography and video recording are not permitted.

Q: Will the actors touch us, or can we touch the actors?
A: NO.  The actors will not touch you, please be respectful and do not touch them.  Incidental and unintentional contact may occur.

Q: I want to do a story on your haunted house, who do I talk to?
A: Ask us here!

Q: I have a question that wasn’t answered here, what do I do?
A: Ask us here!
